THE RETRO ROUNDTABLE: SENATE LIVESTREAM

A special one night event, The Retro Roundtable is a high energy production with discussions between affected workers, industry representatives, and House and Senate leadership. Featuring first hand accounts across the US of those who need retroactivity most, individuals will have the opportunity to make a strong case that robust and retroactive is the only path to relief.

this needs to be priority one

Across the country, the number one issue we are hearing from unemployed and underemployed workers is the need for retroactivity. Our elected leadership knew relief was needed in March when we shut down and recognized it's importance through July. When the FPUC expired, they spent another FIVE months quibbling before deciding to pass solely proactive relief. But what of the five months in between? They know relief was needed before July. They know relief is needed now. It isn't difficult to understand the need for enhanced unemployment from August until December. But while our government dragged their heals, our people put rent, childcare, food and basic necessities on credit cards, accruing debt that will not somehow magically disappear when jobs slowly begin to return. Relief is not robust without retroactivity.
