Aug 8 | Executive Memorandum Announced

Trump announced 4 Executive Orders today in lieu of successful negotiations on a bill.

They are not executable and an attack on The People.

1. A 3 month extension of the CARES Act's student loan relief

2. A deferral of the payroll tax

-This is wildly unpopular to both Democrats and Republicans

-Deferral means the tax is not forgiven and will be due later.

-He claims he will forgive the tax completely if he is re-elected, which is untrue (he doesn't have this power) and unjust.

-There are concerns that should this actually happen the money would mean a huge cut to social security and medicare.

3. A moratorium on evictions that provides no funding, support, or enforcement. So it will not likely protect anyone.

4. A $400 new wage replacement program that is Unconstitutional and places the burden on states without offering them funding. This isn't a real solution to our call for FPUC extension.  More on this here.
