New COVID cases: 60,184

A month long recess is scheduled to start August 7th for Congress. McConnell has said the Senate will "technically stay in session," but that senators can leave DC and he will call them back for a vote. The Senate's inaction is what allowed the FPUC to expire. Letting senators leave DC ignores the urgency of this need.


The negotiating team met again tonight and tensions were apparently very high. The hope of the team has been to release a thorough plan on Friday that would be voted on next week.
